Veronica is a native of Tampa, Florida, where she is a Communications Instructor at a Junior College while also tutoring public school students in several academic subjects. She previously worked as a Manager in Corporate America; however, she considers being a Teacher the most important, challenging and rewarding opportunity of her career. The idea of transforming a person’s mind from, “I can’t” to “I can,” is an enriching and humbling experience.  

Community volunteerism has been Veronica’s mantra for 20 plus years.  She has  worked as a corporate liaison to bridge the gap with agencies that seek to assist, revitalize and train under represented individuals in the Tampa Bay area.

Veronica is also a Voice Over Talent, Speech Coach, Reading Coach and she teaches life skills to inner city kids and adults on a consultant basis.  She is a devout Christian who attends church regularly and she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Inc.

In addition to Veronica’s many talents, she was a movie extra in Ocean’s Eleven which was filmed in St. Petersburg, FL.  She is also a former NFL cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Bucs and for the WFL (World Football League) Tampa Bay Bandits.  Veronica has performed in several local plays and she has produced and directed numerous Gospel Productions in Tampa.  Veronica is also a former President and Area Governor in a Toastmaster’s International Public Speaking club. 

Veronica has a Masters Degree in Management and she is working on her PhD in Education.  Her plans are to continue working in the inner city to increase academic excellence among youth.
